Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions seeks an experienced Controller to lead the accounting and financial operations for our growing Insurance organization. You will oversee monthly closes, financial reporting, budgeting support, and internal controls, partnering with executives to drive growth and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 3+ years of leadership or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Advanced proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience managing month-end and year-end close processes.
• CPA designation strongly preferred (optional).
• Experience in a professional services environment and knowledge of project-based accounting, revenue recognition, and WIP reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Analyze financial results and provide recommendations to leadership.
• Develop and maintain financial reporting packages, dashboards, and KPIs.
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.
• Monitor profitability, project margins, and utilization metrics.
• Oversee GL, AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, and cash management.
• Manage client billing, including time/expense tracking, invoicing, and revenue analysis.
• Coordinate audits and external auditor liaison.
• Maintain internal controls and accounting policies.
