Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions partners with a growing, multi-entity organization in Phoenix to recruit a hands-on Controller who leads daily accounting operations and robust financial reporting. The role emphasizes internal controls, scalable processes, and operational excellence across the organization.

This senior leader will drive month-end close, oversee GL/AP/AR, and ensure GAAP-compliant reporting while collaborating with cross-functional teams on growth initiatives, system implementations,

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 5+ years serving as a Controller or in a comparable accounting leadership role.
• Experience leading full-cycle accounting operations and consolidated financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Oversee GL, AP, AR, reconciliations, inventory accounting, and operational accounting activities.
• Ensure timely and accurate GAAP-compliant financial reporting.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies.
• Support technical accounting matters and complex transactions.
• Coordinate audits with external auditors and ensure compliance with policies.
