Job summary

LHH is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee all accounting and financial operations for a growing organization. You will lead the accounting team, ensure accurate financial reporting, manage month-end close processes, and provide strategic financial guidance to support business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Leadership experience managing accounting teams.
• Strong GAAP and financial reporting knowledge.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, payables, receivables, payroll, and fixed assets.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes for timely financial reporting.
• Prepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and financial planning.
• Develop internal controls, policies, and procedures to mitigate risk.
• Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Analyze financial performance and recommend profitability improvements.
• Partner with executives to support strategic growth decisions.
• Mentor accounting staff and foster a high-performing team.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
