Job summary

STIIIZY, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Controller to build and lead a world-class Accounting and Financial Reporting function across our cultivation, manufacturing, distribution and retail verticals. You will supervise staff, drive month-end close, ensure GAAP compliance, and partner with auditors and investors.

The role oversees offshore resources and coordinates intercompany transactions, with a focus on inventory accounting and process automation to scale the business in California and beyond.

Qualifications

• BA/BS/BBA in accounting or related degree; MBA or MAcc preferred.
• CPA designation required.
• 7–15 years in a managerial financial accounting role, ideally combining public and industry experience.
• Hands-on experience in a vertically integrated manufacturing and distribution org.
• Strong knowledge of inventory accounting including costing, reserves and physical counts.
• GAAP knowledge including ASC 606, ASC 842 and ASC 330; ability to review balance sheet accounts.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and coach a large accounting team; track workload and ensure month-end close and deadlines.
• Review complex workpapers, reconciliations, and consolidation schedules; set reconciliation standards.
• Provide hands-on guidance on inventory accounting, including reconciliations and cost roll-ups.
• Oversee internal controls and efficient accounting processes across the organization.
• Manage internal and external audits and the offshore accounting team.
• Coordinate accounting transition for acquisitions and new developments; assist due diligence.
