Job summary

Charter Oak Health Center Inc. is seeking an experienced accounting leader to ensure accurate GAAP reporting for the organization and its affiliates. You will direct month-end closings, reconcile ledgers, and prepare consolidated financial statements and footnotes for internal and external stakeholders.

The role emphasizes internal controls, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness. A BA in accounting or related field is required; CPA is preferred, with 10+ years in progressive accounting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• MBA is preferred for advanced roles.
• CPA designation is preferred and reflects senior-level expertise.

Responsibilities

• Prepare internal and external consolidated financial reports (GAAP) including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flows.
• Direct month-end close and ensure reconciliations; highlight variances and unusual transactions.
• Establish, maintain and implement company-wide financial policies and procedures.
• Maintain general ledger, perform consolidations, and manage payroll, 1099s, W-2s, and fixed assets registers.
• Oversee internal controls and accounting system enhancements; support audits and regulatory reporting.
• Provide guidance on retirement/403(b) plans; support external agency audits and compliance.
