Northeast Kingdom Health Services (NKHS) seeks an experienced Controller to lead the Agency's financial operations. Reporting to the CFO, you will oversee the monthly close, General Ledger, and accounting staff, ensuring accurate GAAP-compliant reporting and timely financial statements.

You will supervise the accounting department, coordinate audits, and drive process improvements while collaborating with senior leadership to support program success and compliance in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration.
• 6+ years of related experience.
• CPA or CMA designation a plus.
• Excellent management and supervisory skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in accounting software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Leadership style emphasizing teamwork, coaching, trust, and accountability.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
• Management of general ledger accounting system.
• Review, prepare and post journal entries to the General Ledger monthly or as required to ensure accurate balances.
• Complete monthly financial reporting to finance committee, Board and State Partners.
• Review Agency grant revenue spreadsheet monthly.
• Maintain and manage Accounts Payable process.
• Maintain and review financial reporting of billing, revenues, and cash postings.
• Support monthly General Ledger close and preparation of financial statements.
