Job summary

RemX | The Workforce Experts is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead all accounting and financial operations for a growing electrical contracting and service organization. You will manage the monthly close, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow, and internal controls while partnering with leadership to optimize performance.

The ideal candidate will have strong job costing, WIP reporting, and project financial management experience in construction or field services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
• 7+ years progressive accounting/finance experience; 3+ years in leadership.
• Experience in construction or project-based environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting functions: GL, AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, cash management.
• Oversee month-end/year-end close and financial statements accuracy.
• Manage project accounting, job costing, and WIP schedules.
• Monitor project profitability and drive financial improvements.
• Coordinate audits, tax filings and external CPA reviews.
