Job summary

Clark Davis Associates seeks a Controller to lead our accounting function and partner with Finance on strategy and scaling. You will own the close, ensure GAAP-compliant reporting, manage tax, audits, and controls, and drive process improvements.

You will guide budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning with FP&A, turning data into concise executive narratives and presentations. Build a strong accounting team and support potential acquisitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance required; MBA a plus; CPA strongly preferred.
• 7–10 years progressive accounting experience; 5+ years leading finance/accounting teams.
• Regulated industry experience (manufacturing/diagnostics/pharma) preferred.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, revenue recognition, inventory accounting, controls.
• Strong ERP and reporting skills; Excel, PowerPoint, and ideally Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close with GAAP-compliant statements.
• Lead tax compliance and manage external audits and internal controls.
• Drive working capital initiatives: DSO, inventory turns, treasury forecasting.
• Partner with FP&A for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
• Turn financial data into executive narratives and leadership-ready decks.
• Lead ERP optimization, automation, and finance process modernization.
• Build and develop a high-performing accounting team with succession plans.
• Support due diligence and integration for acquisitions.
