Job summary

CRH is seeking an experienced accounting leader in Atlanta to report to the Finance Director. This role oversees the month-end close, balance sheet integrity, internal and external audits, and process improvements across plants.

You will lead a high-performing accounting team and partner with senior management to drive risk mitigation and financial discipline. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of accounting experience, a CPA preferred, and strong SAP/HFM proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of accounting experience.
• CPA preferred.
• Experience managing a team and overseeing audits (SOX).
• ERP systems knowledge; SAP or similar; HFM experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and mitigate operational and organizational risks; recommend control improvements.
• Standardize plant accounting; create SOPs for scalable processes.
• Produce financial reports and production data to inform decisions.
• Review policies, controls, and test plans for adequacy of design.
• Oversee internal and external audits; track findings and remediation actions.
• Own month-end close and variance explanations; manage balance sheet accuracy.
• Drive improvements to accounting processes and ensure compliance with policies and laws.
• Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team; interface with senior management.
