Job summary

Watts Water Technologies, Escondido, CA, seeks an experienced Controller to lead the Americas accounting team. You will own the monthly close, drive accurate financial reporting, and oversee billing, collections, and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 2+ years supervisory or close ownership experience.
• Strong GL, reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement support.
• Experience with manufacturing, SaaS sales, public companies, or multi-entity accounting.
• ERP system experience, Epicor ERP preferred.
• Experience with internal controls, SOX, audit support, and policy adherence.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes with timelines, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and schedules.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, billing, collections, and other accounting deliverables.
• Oversee billing, collections, DSO, and AR aging to ensure timely invoicing and cash collection.
• Own daily to quarterly batch posting and approvals for accurate timing of transactions.
• Maintain balance sheet account ownership and ensure proper documentation of reconciliations and judgments.
• Support monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and internal/external reporting.
