RG Barry Brands is seeking a seasoned Controller to lead all accounting and financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance. You will oversee AP/AR, audits, risk, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and build a high‑performing team while leveraging AI to improve efficiency and decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration with accounting major or equivalent.
• CPA with public accounting experience; MBA/MSA a plus.
• Minimum 15+ years of accounting experience; GAAP reporting; IFRS a plus; SOX/JSOX a plus.
• Experience with M&A is a plus.
• Proficient in Excel and Word; experience with integrated ERP systems; NetSuite and Sigma a plus.
• Experience using AI to automate processes and research.
• Ability to manage consolidated financial reporting across multi‑company and multi‑currency environments.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication; project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee GL, accounting operations, and close processes; coordinate with UK finance.
• Ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance, including revenue recognition and leases.
• Prepare external financial statements and disclosures; liaise with auditors.
• Lead annual audits and audit readiness as primary liaison.
• Maintain internal controls over financial reporting (JSOX compliant).
• Develop accounting policies for scalability and consistency.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis from accounting view.
• Manage tax accounting matters with advisors; provisions and compliance.
• Oversee cash, treasury, working capital; debt, equity, covenants reporting.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team; hiring and performance management.
• Support due diligence for acquisitions; quality of earnings analyses.
• Evaluate ASC 805 / IFRS 3 purchase accounting; valuation inputs and intangibles.
• Lead post‑acquisition accounting integration across systems and processes.
• Account for acquisition-related costs, contingencies, earn-outs, deferred consideration.
• Ensure acquired entities are integrated into consolidated reporting and controls.
