Job summary

Florida Department of Law Enforcement seeks a Contracts & Procurement Manager to oversee procurement operations, MFMP, and contract administration for the agency. You will supervise professional staff and drive improvements in procurement policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include training personnel, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring compliance with state rules while maintaining a high-performance, accountable work environment.

Qualifications

• One year of State of Florida procurement and/or contract experience recommended.
• Degrees from an accredited college or university as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
• Responses to qualifying questions must be clearly supported by the state application and any omission, falsification, or misrepresentation will be cause for elimination.

Responsibilities

• Monitor operational aspects of service delivery and provide liaison for procurement/contract issues.
• Oversee training of personnel on procurement policies and procedures, bidding, and negotiations.
• Coordinate use of 1122 Federal Program for equipment purchases to support counter-drug and homeland security activities.
• Keep current knowledge of advance purchasing methods and applicable laws, rules, and policy; recommend revisions to practices.
• Inform and train staff on procurement policies and methods; maintain high-performance environment.
• Plan and coordinate personnel processes including advertising, performance standards, and workload management.
• Suggest and implement solutions to management when issues arise.
