Job summary

The Florida Department of Health is seeking a temporary Procurement Specialist in Tallahassee. You will manage government procurement processes, prepare purchase orders, evaluate bids, and conduct market research while maintaining vendor records in compliance with Florida statutes and procurement requirements.

Required are 1–3 years of state purchasing experience, proficiency in Excel, and strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail. FCCM certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-3 years of state purchasing experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Knowledge of state budgeting and procurement systems (MFMP, FLAIR, AOD).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently.
• Preferred: Florida Certified Contract Manager (FCCM) certification.
