Aquent partners with a leading financial services firm to recruit a Contracts Manager who will drive strategy in the digital assets space. The role focuses on category management, vendor risk, and end-to-end sourcing across custodians, blockchain infrastructure, wallet tech, and fintech services.

The successful candidate will lead negotiations, align with Legal and Risk, and develop multi-year vendor strategies to optimize value, mitigate risk, and support growth in a rapidly evolving tech

Qualifications

• 5+ years in category management, strategic sourcing or procurement.
• Experience with digital assets, blockchain infrastructure, or fintech services.
• Strong negotiation and contract-law knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide category management leadership and strategic sourcing expertise for vendor engagements.
• Cultivate relationships with senior internal stakeholders across the sourcing lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Legal and Risk to ensure compliant vendor engagements and mitigate issues.
• Lead competitive sourcing events to identify optimal vendors and terms.
• Review, analyze, and negotiate strategic vendor agreements and projects.
• Gather requirements and produce documentation for sourcing events (e.g., RFx).
• Develop business cases and presentations to secure multi-year vendor approvals.
• Prepare and manage documents requiring risk and legal reviews.
• Analyze vendor proposals and respond to management inquiries on expenditures.
• Identify risks related to digital assets, crypto infrastructure, and fintech transactions.
