Job summary

Accenture in Chicago, IL seeks a Contracting Counsel Manager to coordinate and deliver legal, contract, and commercial counsel in support of Accenture's business. The role involves leading complex client transactions, advising senior leadership on legal risk, and mentoring junior CLPs in a fast-paced corporate setting.

The role requires a JD and at least 6 years of transactional experience, with preference for IP and Data Privacy negotiation.

Qualifications

• JD is required.
• Authorized and licensed to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction.
• Minimum 6 years of transactional experience in digital, consulting, systems integration, and/or outsourcing in roles with increasing responsibility, in a law firm or fast-paced corporate setting.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience negotiating Intellectual Property and Data Privacy issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead, structure, negotiate and close complex client transactions from a legal and business perspective.
• Stay abreast of developments affecting clients and industries and synthesize for use in transactional practices.
• Educate and advise company executives on legal and risk management issues.
• Develop subject matter expertise in one or more areas for Legal and business benefit.
• Support development of internal guidelines, toolkits, and knowledge capital on legal and business issues.
• Follow and advance seven Contracting attributes: pathfinder, architect, business-minded, nonconformist, inspired, relevant, technology-enabled contracting.
