Wellington Management in San Francisco seeks a Consultant Relations Manager to develop and execute engagement plans with institutional consultants and OCIOs in the Western U.S. You will nurture relationships with research teams, field offices, and senior decision makers to increase platform placements and client retention.

Qualifications

• At least 8-10 years of relevant industry experience, with investment-depth knowledge across asset classes.
• Intellectual rigor and strong commercial judgment; ability to build credibility with stakeholders.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; translate complex strategies into clear use cases.
• Collaborative yet independent; strong cross-functional execution ability.
• Entrepreneurial, self-starting approach with a results-oriented mindset; ability to advance initiatives.
• Highly organized with strong project- and time-management capabilities.
• CFA, MBA or other advanced degree preferred; FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses or ability to obtain.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute strategic engagement and growth plans for priority consultant relationships, leading OCIO providers, and select OCIO search firms.
• Serve as primary contact for key Western-region organizations; build multi-level relationships across research, OCIO teams, and leadership.
• Articulate Wellington’s differentiated outcomes, portfolio roles, and implementation considerations.
• Learn each organization’s strategy, client base, portfolio construction, decision processes, and evaluator frameworks.
• Collaborate with Portfolio Management, Product Management, Business Development, and Relationship Management to coordinate coverage.
• Lead strategy reviews, product introductions, platform approvals, RFPs, finalist presentations, and due-diligence activities.
• Translate research and relationships into searches, platform placements, mandates, and client retention.
