Job summary

YA Scheduling Consultant in Chicago seeks an independent professional to coordinate and manage construction schedules for diverse projects, including site inspections, data analysis, and schedule updates. You will communicate findings to clients and stakeholders, exercise judgment on critical paths, and manage costs to keep projects on track.

1–4 years in scheduling with CPM methods is preferred, plus strong communication skills and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or equivalent field.
• 1–4 years in construction scheduling experience.
• PSP certification preferred.
• Experience using CPM techniques to analyze schedules.
• Experience with MS Project, Primavera P6, ASTA Powerproject.
• Experience with builder’s risk insurance policies and claims management.
• Experience working on data centers/semiconductors preferred.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Strong communication with stakeholders and clients.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of construction planning and scheduling, developing schedules and updates.
• Conduct forensic analysis of project schedules and contemporaneous documentation.
• Perform site inspections to evaluate progress and verify data.
• Review and organize large volumes of project documents and data.
• Conduct schedule delay analysis to identify causes and support delay claims.
• Evaluate productivity, costs, and expediting expenses; communicate findings.
• Assess impact of changes and delays to keep projects on track.
• Monitor timelines, expenses, and factors critical to operational efficiency.
• Prepare technical project reports and maintain files.
