Job summary

YA Scheduling Consultant will work independently to coordinate and manage construction schedules for various projects, conducting inspections of project sites, evaluating progress and analyzing project documents and data.

The role requires independent judgement, weighing alternatives and considering financial and operational significance while updating schedules and communicating findings to clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or equivalent field.
• 1-4 years of construction scheduling experience.
• PSP certification is preferred.
• Experience with CPM to analyze schedules.
• Experience with MS Project, Primavera P6, and ASTA Powerproject.
• Experience or exposure to builder's risk insurance, claims management, and managing contractors.
• Experience with data centers or semiconductors is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Strong communication with stakeholders and clients.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of the construction planning and scheduling process, including development and updates.
• Perform forensic analysis of project schedules and contemporaneous documentation.
• Conduct inspections of construction project sites to evaluate progress.
• Review and organize large volumes of project documents and data.
• Perform schedule delay analysis to identify causes and resolve delay claims.
• Evaluate construction productivity, extended general conditions, and expediting expenses.
• Assess impact of changes and delays, and communicate findings.
• Monitor and manage timelines and costs on behalf of clients.
• Prepare technical project reports from synthesized information.
• Maintain job files and deliverables.
• Interface with other departments, contractors, and clients regularly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Role & Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of the construction planning & scheduling process, including the development of schedules and ongoing schedule updates.
• Conduct forensic analysis of project schedules, contemporaneous documentation, and construction costs.
• Perform inspections of construction project sites, evaluating project progress.
• Review and organize large amounts of construction project documents and data.
• Perform schedule delay analysis to establish the cause and extent of delays and to resolve construction delay claims.
• Evaluate construction productivity and progress data, extended general conditions, and expediting expenses.
• Assess the impact of project changes and schedule delays, effectively communicating findings.
• Operates on behalf of clients to monitor and manage timelines, expenses, and other factors critical to operational efficiency and cost management during all phases of construction.
• Review and synthesize relevant information to prepare technical project reports.
• Maintain job files, documentation, and other relevant deliverables.
• Interface with other department employees, contractors, and clients on a regular basis
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, in construction management, engineering or equivalent field, preferred
• 1-4 years in a construction scheduling experience.
• Holds a PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) certification, preferred.
• Experience using critical path method (CPM) techniques to analyze construction project schedules.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Oracle Primavera 6, and ASTA Powerproject.
• Previous experience or exposure to builder’s risk insurance policies, construction claims management, and managing contractors.
• Experience working on data centers / semiconductors, preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team towards a common purpose.
• Strong communications skills, with the ability to interface with various stakeholders and clients.
