Job summary

Sekisui House U.S., Inc. is seeking a purchasing professional to support residential construction operations by sourcing, bidding, negotiating, and contracting with trade partners and suppliers.

You will ensure competitive pricing, accurate scopes, and timely materials to meet schedules and cost targets, working across Construction, Estimating, and Operations. Responsibilities include managing bid packages, data in ERP, and contributing to value engineering while maintaining strong supplier

Qualifications

• Requires strong knowledge of purchasing principles, contract terms, and cost analysis.
• Experience negotiating with trade partners and suppliers.
• Familiarity with procurement platforms or construction-related purchasing tools.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and maintain qualified trade partners and suppliers.
• Prepare, issue, and manage bid packages, scopes of work, and takeoffs for accurate pricing.
• Solicit, analyze, and compare bids; negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts.
• Coordinate with Construction, Estimating, Operations, and Product teams to align decisions with plans.
• Maintain purchasing data, contracts, scopes, and pricing in ERP systems.
• Support value engineering by analyzing costs and proposing alternatives.
• Monitor partner performance and resolve pricing or scope issues.
• Support new community setup activities including bid launches and documentation.
• Research market conditions and supplier trends to support competitive positioning.
• Assist with process improvements and documentation standards.
