Job summary

Sekisui House U.S., Inc. is seeking a purchases professional to source, evaluate, and manage trade partners for residential communities. You will coordinate with multiple teams to ensure competitive pricing and timely availability of materials.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in purchasing, supply chain, or construction operations OR 6-8 years of equivalent experience.
Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

Source, evaluate, and maintain qualified trade partners and suppliers.
Prepare, issue, and manage bid packages, scopes of work, and takeoffs for pricing.
Solicit, analyze, and compare bids; negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts.
Coordinate with Construction, Estimating, Operations, and Product teams to align purchasing decisions with plans.
Maintain purchasing data, contracts, scopes, and pricing in ERP systems.
Support value engineering by analyzing costs and alternatives.
Monitor trade partner performance and resolve pricing issues.
Assist with new community setup, bid launches, and documentation.
Research market conditions and supplier trends to stay competitive.
Support process improvements and documentation standards.
