Sekisui House U.S., Inc. is seeking an experienced Purchasing Lead to manage complex sourcing, bidding, and contracting for our residential communities. You will drive cost-effective strategies while ensuring supplier reliability, scope accuracy, and alignment with construction schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Supply Chain, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5+ years in purchasing, supply chain, or construction operations; or 9–11 years of equivalent experience.
• Experience with residential homebuilding purchasing and multi-community scopes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing, evaluation, and selection of trade partners and suppliers for assigned communities or product lines.
• Independently manage complex bid processes including scope development, bid analysis, negotiations, and awards.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements to meet cost, quality, and schedule objectives.
• Analyze cost drivers, market conditions, material changes, and project requirements to guide purchasing strategy.
• Maintain accurate purchasing data, contracts, and pricing across ERP systems.
• Collaborate with Construction, Estimating, Operations, and Design to validate scopes and align decisions with build cycles.
• Lead value engineering and supplier optimization initiatives across multiple communities.
• Resolve escalated issues related to pricing, scope, performance, and compliance.
