Job summary

Divcon, headquartered in Dallas, TX, seeks a Project Financial Analyst to support construction project financial health. You will track costs, monitor budgets, forecast variances, and report insights to project managers and leadership.

Responsibilities include cost-to-complete forecasts, earned value analyses, and collaboration with field teams to ensure accurate financials and timely reporting. Strong Excel and construction software experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, construction management, business administration, or related field required.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel with financial modeling, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis functions; construction software experience highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable recommendations.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities to handle multiple active projects and meet reporting deadlines.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with office and field personnel.
• Familiarity with construction industry practices (job costing, change orders, retainage, lien waivers, certified payroll) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and refining project budgets, cost forecasts, and financial plans with estimators and project leads during bidding and execution phases.
• Monitor actual expenditures against budget; analyze variances weekly and implement mitigation plans.
• Prepare and maintain regular project financial reports including cost-to-complete forecasts and earned value analyses.
• Collaborate with project teams to gather real-time cost data and validate work completion.
• Review subcontractor/vendor invoices and billings for contract alignment and change orders.
