Job summary

NorthMark Strategies LLC is seeking a Senior Associate, Construction Finance in Stamford, CT (with occasional Dallas, TX assignments) to drive budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial modeling, and reporting on a major construction program.

You will own monthly financial deliverables, validate contractor reports, maintain cost-to-complete forecasts, and present insights to leadership and the board, while advancing automation and data integrity across platforms.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of progressive experience in construction project finance or related fields.
• Experience with earned value reporting and rolling cost forecasts.
• Strong GAAP knowledge as applied to construction accounting.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly project financial reporting and governance packages.
• Review contractor cost reports, schedule of values, and change orders.
• Maintain budget-to-actual tracking across cost categories and explain variances.
• Prepare EV/MSI analyses and rolling 12–18 month cost-to-complete forecasts.
• Develop dashboards and executive summaries for leadership and board.
• Translate technical cost/schedule concepts into financial language for executives.
• Support budget discussions, capital planning, and go/no-go decisions.
• Assist audits of contractor costs and ensure contract compliance.
• Improve reporting templates, cost coding, and data integrity across entities.
• Collaborate on GL alignment and ERP platform initiatives.
