Job summary

McGough is seeking a Project Accountant to collaborate with project teams, delivering accurate financial reporting and guidance from pre-construction through post-construction. You will ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

The role requires strong analytical skills, initiative, and the ability to work under deadlines, with exposure to CMiC and cross-functional coordination across Procurement, Operations, and HR.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business preferred.
• Construction industry experience preferred.
• 4–7 years accounting/finance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret project contracts to ensure financial term compliance.
• Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and cash flow guidance to project teams.
• Manage project billings, reconciliations, and data accuracy.
• Support audits with reconciliations and detailed financial reports.
• Oversee project closeout and ensure documentation is complete.
• Advise subcontractors on lien waiver requirements and compliance.
