Job summary

McGough Group seeks a Project Accountant to partner with project teams, delivering timely financial reporting and guidance across construction projects from pre-construction to closeout. You will review contracts, manage billings, assist with audits, and ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance while leveraging CMiC ERP for accuracy.

The role requires analytical rigor, collaboration across procurement, operations, and HR, and the ability to explain financial implications to project managers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of Accounting/Finance experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business preferred.
• Construction industry experience preferred.
• 4-7 years of Accounting/Finance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret project contracts for financial compliance and billing terms.
• Provide forecasting, variance reporting, and cash flow insights to PMs.
• Manage project billings, reconciliations, and data integrity across systems.
• Support audits with reconciliations and detailed financial reports.
• Oversee project closeout and CMiC-based financial management.
• Educate subcontractors on lien waiver requirements across tiers.
