Job summary

Consigli Construction Co., Inc. is seeking a Project Accountant to join the Finance division and support financial management of construction projects.

You will work closely with the Project Accounting Manager, project teams, and the Finance department on accounts payable, subcontractor costing, owner billings, and cost reporting. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to collaborate across teams, and a solid understanding of project-based accounting within the construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in Project Accounting.
• Experience administering accounting and compliance for federally funded construction projects.
• Experience with FAR Part 31, indirect cost allocations, and allowable/unallowable costs.
• Experience with cost-reimbursable and time-and-material contracts.
• Familiarity with federally funded grant projects.

Responsibilities

• Process and track accounts payable invoices and ensure timely payments.
• Set up and maintain project budgets in the accounting system.
• Manage owner billing processes per contract terms.
• Handle intercompany transactions, invoicing, payments, and reconciliation.
• Assist with monthly cost reporting and financial closings.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards.
• Communicate with vendors and clients to resolve discrepancies.
• Organize project-related financial documentation and records.
• Conduct cost and revenue analysis to support project performance.
• Assist in audit preparation and compliance with audit requirements.
• Support budget forecasting and variance analysis.
• Monitor project progress, cash flow, and financial health.
