Job summary

ARCO a Family of Construction Companies seeks a Director of Business Development in St. Louis (Rock Hill) to lead national client acquisition and growth initiatives. You will identify and cultivate industry relationships, expand ARCO’s footprint, and shape the sales plan with cross-functional teams.

The role requires 5–10 years in new business development, construction sales experience, and proficiency with CRM tools. Expect travel up to 40% and a dynamic, award-winning workplace culture.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of new business development experience.
• Highly prefer direct sales experience in construction, light industrial/manufacturing, or commercial sectors.
• Highly prefer design-build experience.
• Proficiency in business development software (e.g. Salesforce, MS Dynamics, Pipedrive).

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop relationships with industry professionals to generate new business opportunities.
• Create and expand ARCO’s footprint and establish top of mind awareness.
• Research and analyze key economic factors that may influence market activity within specific niche markets or geographic areas.
• Help develop and manage the execution of the sales plan.
• Attend trade shows and association meetings to stay abreast of market conditions, competition, and establish relationships with new clients and prospects.
• Coordinate and manage the sales/proposal process with ARCO’s marketing, project management, and operations management teams.
• Travel as needed, up to 40%.
