Job summary

Advance Concrete in Garner, NC is seeking an experienced, hands-on Controller to serve as the right hand to our Chief Accounting Officer and elevate our accounting function across multiple entities.

You will own month-end close, financial reporting, job cost and WIP, cash forecasting, and internal controls while leading process improvements as we modernize with Foundation and automation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Controller or senior accounting leadership experience.
• Strong month-end close and GL experience.
• Construction accounting and job costing expertise preferred.
• Foundation software experience highly desirable.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Own and coordinate month-end close across operating companies.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepaids, amortizations, and close adjustments.
• Maintain intercompany reconciliations and balance sheet integrity.
• Prepare monthly financial statements for CAO review.
• Monitor job cost accounting, WIP, and project profitability.
• Support process improvements and accounting automation initiatives.
