Goshen Engineering in Mount Olive, NC is seeking an experienced, hands-on Controller to lead day-to-day accounting, partner with the President and a fractional CFO, and strengthen financial reporting and internal controls.

You will manage GL, A/P, A/R, payroll, month-end close, and project accounting, drive budgeting and forecasting, and oversee staff development while collaborating to improve systems and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Experience in engineering, manufacturing, construction or project-based businesses.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting and internal controls.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Hands-on, proactive, and collaborative.

Responsabilités

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations: GL, AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and reports.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
• Maintain GAAP compliance and internal controls.
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax professionals.
• Supervise accounting staff and develop the team.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting with leadership.
• Improve accounting systems, reporting, and processes.
• Monitor project accounting and job costing.
• Data entry and transaction processing as needed.
