Job summary

SDV Construction in Albuquerque, NM is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager who knows how to build relationships, uncover opportunities, and turn conversations into successful projects.

You will work with executive leadership, estimating, preconstruction, and operations to identify right opportunities, build a robust pipeline across the Southwest, and position SDV to win work before RFPs emerge. Travel is regional and relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent building experience.
• Proven success initiating and closing commercial construction opportunities.
• Knowledge of the full construction lifecycle and contract delivery strategies.
• Strong analytical thinking supported by data and market intelligence.
• Experience using CRM platforms and structured reporting.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop the right opportunities and relationships.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline across New Mexico and the Southwest.
• Engage with clients and project partners before the project is fully defined.
• Qualify opportunities and help determine where SDV can compete and win.
• Develop pursuit strategies that align client needs with SDV capabilities.
• Coordinate internally to bring together estimating and operations resources.
• Represent SDV in the market with professionalism and integrity.
• Stay involved from the first conversation through contract award—and beyond.
