Job summary

SDV Construction is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to lead estimating and early-stage project strategy across Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Rio Rancho, and the broader New Mexico market. This role emphasizes conceptual estimating and Design-Build delivery, translating early design into accurate, competitive budgets while aligning owners, design teams, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of preconstruction, estimating, or commercial construction project management experience.
• 2) Experience with conceptual estimating and Design-Build delivery.
• 3) Knowledge of materials, methods, and current market conditions.
• 4) Experience coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction and estimating efforts from concept through GMP development.
• Conduct plan reviews, quantity takeoffs, and subcontractor bid analysis.
• Collaborate with business development, operations, architects, and engineers to plan projects.
• Develop and manage subcontractor and vendor relationships to support pricing and market insight.
• Mentor estimating staff and promote process improvements.
