Job summary

AHLA Foundation, Inc. in Washington, DC area seeks a Vice President, Conferences and Events to lead the planning, management, and execution of its conference and events portfolio.

You will work with internal teams, external partners, vendors, sponsors, and stakeholders to deliver high‑quality events that engage members and support AHLA's goals. The role requires 8–10 years in strategic conference/event management, a Bachelor's degree, and preferred CMP certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8-10 years of demonstrated experience in strategic conference or event management.
• Experience leading large-scale conferences and complex multi-stakeholder events.
• Association/nonprofit or member-based organization experience preferred.
• Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and execute AHLA & AHLA Foundation's event portfolio.
• Lead projects with clear objectives, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
• Shape event experiences to grow engagement and attendance.
• Oversee budgets, revenue projections, and post-event evaluations.
• Coordinate venues, vendors, contracts, and travel; ensure on-site delivery.
