Job summary

Hotel Valencia Riverwalk seeks a Catering & Conference Services Manager to lead client meetings, coordinate conferences, and maximize group revenue through exceptional service. This exempt position may require working evenings, weekends, and peak periods to meet business needs.

Candidates should have 2+ years in catering or conference services, a bachelor’s degree is preferred, and strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• 2 years of catering or conference services experience.
• Bachelor’s degree is a plus. High school education and relevant training and experience required.
• Previous sales or Conference Services experience, Food and Beverage knowledge, detail oriented and highly organized.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee client meetings and functions to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Provide conference services for most in-house groups, conferences and meetings.
• Work with other departments within the hotel to provide quality service.

• Achieve budgeted revenues and expenses and maximize profitability related to the sales department.
• Maintain correct procedures for credit control, financial transactions, and security of financial assets.
