Job summary

University of Florida College of Nursing seeks a Conference-Event Manager I to strategically plan, execute, and evaluate high-impact events that advance the college's mission and visibility. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver exceptional experiences for internal and external audiences.

Responsibilities include end-to-end event execution, complex logistics, budget management, and promotion through marketing channels to boost attendance and engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3 years of relevant experience, or HS diploma with 7 years of relevant experience.
• Master’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations is preferred.
• Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end planning and execution of large-scale, high-visibility events.
• Oversee venue selection, vendor sourcing, contracts, catering, A/V, travel, and on-site execution.
• Develop and manage event budgets with Finance and College leadership; track expenses and invoices.
• Collaborate with marketing/communications to promote events and manage materials.
