Job summary

L'Oréal in New Jersey is seeking an Inventory/Logistics professional to optimize component and raw material inventories through strategic supplier agreements and robust inventory strategies. You will manage material releases, review MRP, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to support new product launches.

Responsibilities include order placement, delivery verification, data accuracy in SAP item masters, and active communication with suppliers to resolve exceptions and maintain supply

Responsibilities

• Optimize inventory levels of components and raw materials through strategic supplier agreements and inventory management strategies.
• Place and verify orders for AC/raw materials with suppliers and monitor delivery status.
• Review MRP and action messages to initiate supply chain requirements for short to medium term (1–6 months).
• Consider customer priorities, cost constraints, and line/vessel availability when scheduling.
• Execute call-offs to ensure short-term plan feasibility with minimum stock coverage.
• Maintain first-line supplier communication on exceptions and follow-ups.
• Ensure accuracy of UP inventories across all article types and oversee reporting (DOS, excess/obsolete).
• Execute Bills of Materials (BOM) and coordinate with support groups for new product launches.
• Update and monitor reporting systems to track progress of fixed schedules, vendor production, deliveries and launches.
• Identify, analyze and reconcile inventory differences and initiate write-offs or obsolescence actions as needed.
• Collaborate with Launch Managers and other groups to support new product implementation and process improvements.
• Create and maintain logistics pre-specifications and group methodologies.
