Airbnb is seeking a Senior Principal, Competitive Intelligence to serve as the go-to authority on competitive landscape, partnering with technical and business teams to deliver actionable narratives for executive leadership. The role blends analytics and storytelling in a fast-paced environment with high visibility to senior leaders across Finance, Product, Marketing and Business functions.

Reporting to the Director, Product & Performance within Strategic Finance & Analytics, you will drive

Qualifications

12+ years of relevant business and insights experience.
AI proficiency or ability to become AI proficient (Claude or Gemini).
Ability to work and influence cross-functionally, partnering across internal and external teams.
Strong communication skills with audiences at various levels and the ability to distill insights into a crisp narrative.
Advanced presentation skills (Google Docs, Keynote, Excel).

Responsibilities

Competitive monitoring: develop regular reporting to review key metrics across marketplace and product; track industry trends and lead monthly leadership insights forum.
Strategic deep dives: partner with Supply, Global Markets, Product, and Marketing to conduct in-depth analyses informing key decisions.
Data strategy: lead the competitive intelligence data strategy, evaluate data needs for growth initiatives, manage data sources and vendor relationships.
Cross-functional enablement: ensure insights and datasets are accessible and actionable for cross-functional teams; collaborate with Engineering and Data to deliver reliable reporting.
