Job summary

Colonial Williamsburg Foundation in Williamsburg, VA, is seeking a Compensation Analyst to administer and optimize compensation programs, including merit, bonus, incentive, promotion, and market adjustments. You will help configure Workday Advanced Compensation and partner with HRIS on data validation.

Responsibilities include reporting, benchmarking, and preparing analyses for hires, promotions, and retention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or preferred in HR, business, finance, analytics, or related field.
• Minimum two years in compensation, HR analytics, HRIS, or related role.
• Strong knowledge of salary structures, market benchmarking, pay equity, and planning.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze large datasets with precision.

Responsibilities

• Administer and execute compensation programs including merit, bonus, incentive, promotions, and market adjustments.
• Implement and optimize Workday Advanced Compensation with HRIS team.
• Provide compensation data, reporting, and analytics support to the team.
• Ensure data integrity and accurate Workday configuration for compensation processes.
• Conduct market pricing and benchmarking analyses to support recommendations.
• Prepare analyses for new hires, promotions, transfers, retention, and other actions.
• Maintain salary structures, job levels, and ranges; develop recurring and ad hoc reports.
• Support annual compensation planning and cross-functional collaboration with HR and finance.
• Assist with compensation surveys and external benchmarking data.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve user experience.
