Job summary

The role acts as a liaison to enhance community involvement, organize events, manage outreach, and prepare publications for internal and external audiences. Strong leadership and exceptional written and verbal communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university plus four years in coordinating, monitoring, administering or managing program activities.
• Four years of professional level experience coordinating, monitoring, administering or managing program activities.
• Four years with Pima County in a professional administrative classification including one year in a supervisory capacity.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and manages community engagement programs aligned with department goals.
• Manages activities supporting community engagement and evaluates program effectiveness.
• Maintains effective working relationships with other county departments, public/private agencies, and groups to achieve goals.
• Oversees communication with community members and coordinates with marketing teams.
• Develops and administers the program's annual budget and forecasts funding sources.
• Negotiates and manages contracts and intergovernmental agreements for the program.
• Analyzes legislation to ensure program compliance and policies.
• Supervises staff and volunteers, providing guidance and professional development.
