The Communications Specialist II supports the Public Relations Supervisor by handling internal and external communications, writing, editing and layout, and assisting with content for newsletters, digital content and the corporate website.

Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related field.
Strong writing and editing skills and ability to craft engaging content.
Experience with internal/external communications and storytelling.

Responsibilities

Assists in planning and implementing PowerSouth's communications programs and publications.
Maintains relationships with employees, distribution members, media and community organizations.
Supports tours/events and helps promote PowerSouth's image and engagement.
Demonstrates teamwork, integrity and a professional approach to communications tasks.
