PowerSouth Energy Cooperative, headquartered in Andalusia, AL, is a generation and transmission (G&T) electric cooperative with 22 distribution members – 18 electric distribution systems and four municipal electric systems – in Alabama and northwest Florida. The purpose of the position is to design the program logic and facilitate gathering project requirements from the business units and converting those requirements into application software to perform specific functions. This position operates in an on-premises office environment. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related field. In addition, the incumbent should possess the capability to effectively convey information verbally and in written form, for both technical and non-technical audiences. It is preferred the incumbent have a working knowledge of programming languages and development tools, as well as be familiar with version control tools and principles.
