Job summary

Ohio's Electric Cooperatives seeks a Communications Specialist to support writing, newsletter development, and social media management. You will develop content for the company and its affiliates, coordinate email campaigns, and maintain multiple websites.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in communications or related field and at least three years of communications experience. Travel and collaborative projects across member co-ops are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, or journalism.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in communications or PR.
• Experience with CMS such as Wordpress or Drupal is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage social media channels, write content, and schedule posts.
• Assist with writing articles for web, newsletters, and magazines.
• Support marketing emails using RGE Studio, including copy editing.
• Plan and execute multi-platform campaigns with management support.
• Maintain company websites (ohioec.org, ohiocoopliving.com) and partner sites.
