Job summary

Seventh Sense, LLC seeks a Communications Specialist to support organizational clarity, service modernization, and strategic communications for OAS. The role blends research, stakeholder engagement, writing, and implementation under the Program Manager’s strategic direction.

The position is hybrid in Alexandria, VA, with a focus on policy communications, leadership messaging, and visual content. Strong writing, design sense, and collaboration with digital teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong writing, editing, interviewing, and information-synthesis required.
• Ability to translate complex operations into clear, plain-language content.
• Experience creating comms for diverse audiences and purposes.
• Ability to reconcile stakeholder input and validate through reviews.
• Sound research judgment including evaluation of sources and AI-assisted findings.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail; manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Review policies and materials to map OAS operations and identify gaps.
• Interview stakeholders and define division services and boundaries.
• Support development of OAS narrative, value proposition, and service profiles.
• Create communications plans with audience, message, channels, frequency, and success metrics.
• Draft leadership messages, newsletters, presentations, and policy communications.
• Produce talking points, job aids, and materials for explaining OAS services.
• Coordinate with digital team for consistent messaging on SharePoint and web content.
• Research best practices in gov communications, CX, branding, and outreach.
• Maintain calendars, templates, and messaging guidance.
• Develop visuals—infographics and graphics—translating messaging into visuals.
