Job summary

Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI) in Bryan, TX seeks a Communications Manager who will oversee internal and external communications, edit materials, prepare presentations, and liaise with media to maintain a positive image of the institute. The role leads the Content Services team and drives messaging across channels.

This position requires 5+ years in a communications environment and a Bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and five years in a communications environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for various audiences.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage, track, and document complex workflows efficiently.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; social media experience.

Responsibilities

• Content development: write, review, edit materials; develop social content and collateral.
• Media liaison: track inquiries, prepare press materials, and serve as spokesperson as needed.
• Management role: supervise Content Services staff and manage project intake and billing.
• Coordinate cross‑team project updates and ensure alignment on scope and deadlines.
• Support strategic communications, internal and external, with leadership input.
