Job summary

Vivmark Residential is seeking a Communications Manager to lead media relations, executive communications, and social media strategy. The role focuses on proactive storytelling, crisis support, and executive visibility across business and investor audiences.

Successful candidates will have strong writing, media relationships, and the ability to coordinate cross-functionally with Legal, Investor Relations, and HR. A passion for housing and real estate communications is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in external communications, media relations, or related field.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, executive voice across formats.
• Established relationships with business/real estate/trade media preferred.
• Proven track record supporting senior executives and navigating complex orgs.
• Strong news judgment and ability to develop compelling story angles.
• Experience managing corporate social media channels (LinkedIn preferred).
• Ability to work quickly and accurately under deadline pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Investor Relations, or HR.
• Real estate, REIT, or financial services experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Media relations: respond to inquiries, build reporter relationships, pitch stories.
• Draft and edit press releases, statements, and external materials.
• Monitor media coverage and provide updates and analysis to leadership.
• Maintain external communications calendar and track key announcements/events.
• Support crisis communications preparation and response.
• Collaborate with Investor Relations on cross-functional communications.
• Executive communications: identify speaking/visibility opportunities and support thought leadership initiatives.
• Draft executive scripts, talking points, and video content for leaders.
• Own and manage the company's social media channels, focusing on LinkedIn.
