Job summary

TruStone Financial is seeking a Communications Strategist in Burnsville, MN to lead internal and external communications and strengthen employee engagement, trust and brand. You’ll partner with senior leaders to translate complex business strategies into clear, compelling messages for employees, members, and stakeholders.

The role requires 5+ years in communications, PR or marketing communications, and experience supporting executive leadership and large events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in communications, public relations, corporate communications, or marketing communications.
• Experience supporting executive leadership teams and board communications preferred.
• Experience planning and managing large-scale corporate events and employee meetings.
• Financial services or regulated industry experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Associated Press style and strong copywriting, editing, presentation and storytelling skills.
• Strong project leadership, communications and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with shifting priorities and deadlines.
• Maintains awareness of enterprise compliance requirements, including BSA/AML obligations, and follows internal policies.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise internal and external communications strategy under SVP/Director of Channel Marketing.
• Partners with executives, HR, Retail Banking, Digital Experience, Product, Community Impact, Compliance, Marketing and others to translate strategies into clear messages for employees, members, and stakeholders.
• Translate complex business strategies into clear, compelling messages for various audiences and board communications.
• Plan and manage large-scale corporate events and employee meetings.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Business, or related field
