Job summary

WCF Insurance is seeking an Underwriter/Senior Underwriter to evaluate new and renewal accounts and manage a book of business in the Denver area. You will build agent relationships through calls and occasional visits, delivering thorough risk analyses and recommendations on coverage terms and premiums.

The role requires 3+ years in commercial underwriting, knowledge of NCCI rules, and comfort with loss-sensitive rating programs. A bachelor’s degree in finance or business is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least three years commercial underwriting experience in all business lines.
• Working knowledge of NCCI and state bureau manuals, rules and classifications.
• Experience with loss sensitive rating programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage a book of business for growth, profitability, and retention.
• Initiate and handle agent relationships through service calls and in-person visits.
• Provide thorough, documented risk analysis on new and renewal accounts leading to coverage terms and premium.
• Make recommendations on coverage terms and premiums based on risk assessment.
