Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Commercial Lines underwriting experience.
• Experience with Commercial Auto (Taxi, Livery, Para Transit) and General Liability.
• Strong knowledge of rating, pricing, and state requirements.
• Excellent oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal business with focus on profitability.
• Maintain agency relationships and service policyholders.
• Process new business policies, endorsements, and renewals.
• Monitor billing for direct bill accounts and accept payments.
• Provide timely responses to agent inquiries.
• Mentor junior underwriters and share knowledge.
• Stay current with coverage, rating plans, and state rules.
• Review claims and communicate issues to agents.
• Price and document files with proper files.
