Job summary

Valley National Bank in California is seeking a seasoned banking professional to drive business development, acquire new clients, and expand relationships with existing clients across the branch network.

You will maintain portfolios, cross-sell bank products, negotiate loan terms, analyze credit data, monitor changes in credit quality, and oversee loan closings to ensure all documents reflect agreed terms.

Responsibilities

• Develop network of external referral sources/COIs to attract new clients.
• Business development to acquire new clients and expand relationships with existing clients.
• Maintain, grow and service assigned portfolios and appropriately cross sell other bank products.
• Negotiate terms (collateral, covenants, pricing and other components) of lending agreements with clients/prospects to properly structure and price credit facilities.
• Ensure that the bank is in possession of current financial information and that the information has been properly analyzed and on file.
• Bears overall responsibility for the loan closing process and attends loan closings ensuring legal documents reflect all terms.
