Job summary

Alera Group is seeking a Commercial Account Manager to support risk strategy, client service excellence, and operational accuracy for Property & Casualty clients in a hybrid environment in Maryland.

The role requires a P&C license, 5+ years of relevant experience, and strong communication skills to maintain long-term client relationships and ensure accurate services and compliant processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry-related experience in commercial insurance.
• Active Property & Casualty insurance license.
• Experience in client service, insurance operations, or account management.
• Strong communication and relationship management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Support commercial Property & Casualty clients by delivering responsive, professional, and service-focused account management.
• Collaborate with the Commercial Sales team and internal partners to ensure seamless execution of client servicing activities.
• Build and maintain long-term client relationships through proactive communication and consistent follow-through.
• Contribute to client retention and satisfaction by addressing client needs and concerns promptly.
• Manage key commercial lines processes including new business placement, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, audits, billing/financing, and payments.
• Coordinate issuance of certificates of insurance, evidence of property insurance, schedules of insurance, and auto ID cards.
• Ensure accuracy, compliance with agency procedures, insurance laws, and best practices.
• Escalate complex client concerns or service issues to leadership and document resolution actions.
• Leverage systems and tools to manage workflows, documentation, and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, workflow efficiency, and client experience.
• Support renewal and account management initiatives that contribute to retention and revenue stability.
• Collaborate with internal teams to strengthen processes and enhance service outcomes.
