Job summary

Triple-S is seeking an experienced underwriter to assess the risk of insuring commercial businesses, determine premiums, and approve or decline applications within delegated authority. You will coordinate with the department on projects and relate to Producers to address service needs.

The role requires strong analytical skills and knowledge in pricing and underwriting for P&C programs, with CIC/CISR being preferable.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 1 year or more of related experience in pricing and underwriting, financial arrangements and P&C programs.
Or Associate Degree with 3 years or more of related experience in pricing and underwriting, financial arrangements and P&C programs.
Or 5 years or more of related experience in pricing and underwriting, financial arrangements, and P&C programs. Strong analysis and knowledge in Commercial Lines processes is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Evaluates new business and commercial lines renewals to select new risks to underwrite and renewals to maintain according to underwriting guidelines.
Provides guidance and service to producers and authorized representatives by telephone, in writing or in person.
Provides follow-up to new businesses that are listed to close them.
Evaluates the loss experience of the policies to be renewed, identifies cases with adverse experience, takes measures or requests notice of non-renewal for them.
Evaluate, quote and issue commercial lines new policies, endorsements and renewals.
